Workforce Analytics Dashboard Goes Live
We are pleased to announce the launch of Phase I of our new “Workforce Analytics Dashboard,” which unveils real-time talent development and supporting activities performance data in Montgomery County. The Workforce Analytics Dashboard is the first of its kind in the state of Maryland, with its unique presentation and breadth of information. The data will be updated monthly and has an interactive and user-friendly visual design, allowing users to view information in multiple ways, including through tables, graphs and charts.
“Empowering our businesses and job seekers with accurate data is paramount, and we need to do so in an easily accessible and transparent fashion,” said WorkSource Montgomery CEO Dr. Ellie Giles. “Developing a data-driven model is also fundamental for WSM strategic planning and operational efficiency.
“We recognized the need to generate WSM workforce information for the public, information that would greatly benefit both job seekers and businesses,” added Giles, “and this became a primary initiative when I assumed the helm of WSM in July 2016.”
The WSM job seeker performance data is critical to all stakeholders because there is a growing need for a better understanding of employee and workforce characteristics. The specific performance measures on the dashboard include the following:
- Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) participant data,
- WIOA outcomes,
- WSM Job Center data, and
- Job Center workshop metrics.
These four subcomponents present statistical information about WSM programs. The data dashboard was developed in collaboration with EurekaFacts in Rockville.
