WorkSource Montgomery, Inc. (WSM) officially released a request for proposals for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Out-of-School Youth (OSY) program. We are seeking a qualified organization to offer comprehensive employment and training programs to OSY, ages 16 to 24, in Montgomery County.
The program’s goal is to provide outreach and engagement, intensive case management, career training, subsidized employment, and job placement to qualified youth. “We are looking forward to bringing on a partner who will create and implement innovative approaches to address the needs of our community’s OSY. We want to ensure that any OSY in need of services is able to receive the help they require in developing a career plan and accessing quality training and employment opportunities” said Anthony Featherstone, Executive Director of WSM.
Organizations interested in applying should have a strong passion and proven track record for serving youth and young adults, established local partnerships with area businesses and employers, and innovative methods to engage and guide young adults into career pathways. A virtual bidders’ conference will be held on Thursday, April 8. All Letters of intent are due Monday, April 12 and complete proposals must be submitted to WSM by 5:00 pm on Friday, April 30, 2021. The entire RFP and accompanying documents are available on our procurement page here.
