Interfaith Works Clothing Center
The Interfaith Works Clothing Center provides families with limited income access to clothing and home goods, and school supplies (seasonally), at no charge. This enables them to focus their resources on food, rent, utilities, medicine, school supplies, and other basic needs. The IW Clothing Center is the only free, large-scale clothing center in Montgomery County.

Interfaith Works Connections

Interfaith Works Food Pantry
The Interfaith Works Food Pantry (formerly HUB) is now a choice pantry model, allowing individuals and families to select their food. Clients can now pick up diapers during their appointment. Shopping times are by appointment; contact us at the phone number below. The program serves families residing in the following zip codes: 20850, 20851, 20852, 20853, and 20854. The IW Food Pantry offers home delivery of food to families in the Twinbrook area who are unable to pick up food in person.

Interfaith Works Emergency Assistance Coalition
Interfaith Works manages and serves as the coordinating body of the Emergency Assistance Coalition (EAC), a county-wide network of providers that educates, advocates, and delivers a coordinated system of safety net services. The EAC includes nonprofit, public and human service agencies, faith-based organizations, grassroots local assistance groups, educators, and community organizers. IW provides a platform for EAC agencies to convene monthly and share information, best practices, and resources to strengthen their capacity to meet critical needs. Speakers are invited to address common issues raised at past meetings and emerging issues. Meetings may include a roundtable where attendees report services statistics, funding availability, unmet/unresolved needs, share information and resource, and network.

Interfaith Works Emergency Shelter Programs
The IW Shelter at Progress Place, the IW Women's Center at Taft, and the IW Women's Center at Crabbs Branch all provide short-term, emergency shelter services to IW clients. In addition to temporary shelter, these programs also provide holistic case management services to each client. These services connect clients to other community resources, such as primary medical care, legal services, psychiatric services, permanent housing services, and vocational services. The IW Shelter at Progress Place shelters all people. Additionally, IW operates Montgomery County’s only year-round, emergency shelters exclusively for women, the Interfaith Works Women’s Centers at Taft and the Interfaith Works Women’s Center at Crabbs Branch.

Interfaith Works Becky's and Priscilla's Houses
Interfaith Works Becky's House and IW Priscilla's House are homes that provide permanent housing, 24hr oversight, and intensive case management services to 15 senior women with behavioral health diagnoses.

Interfaith Works Residences at Progress Place
Interfaith Works Residences, located at Progress Place, is a permanent supportive housing program that houses 21 individuals with disabilities and/or histories of chronic homelessness. Clients of this program also receive 24/7 support and case management services from IW staff.

Interfaith Works Community Supportive Housing Program
Interfaith Works Community Supportive Housing Program serves about 100 households of families and individuals with disabilities in scattered site housing throughout the county. All clients receive a housing voucher and pay 30% of their income (if they have income) toward their rent responsibility. All CSH clients have a documented disability and history of homelessness. With the support of our dedicated staff, they are rebuilding their lives in the community through near weekly meetings with case managers in their home. They are working toward individualized goals with case management support, like managing chronic health conditions, stabilizing their mental health, seeking substance abuse recovery programs, and if able seeking employment.
 
Target Population: Interfaith Works Community Supportive Housing Program works with single adults and families with documented disabilities and history of homelessness.
Intake/Eligibility: Clients are referred to CSH through Montgomery County DHHS. Most clients are referred through Emergency Shelter for Single Adults or Emergency Shelter for Families after being assessed as have an acute need for case management, a long-term disability, and appropriate for community scattered site housing. Clients needs must meet eligibility criteria through Montgomery County DHHS.
Interfaith Works Rapid Rehousing Program
Interfaith Works Rapid Rehousing Program provides supportive services to men and women receiving temporary housing vouchers from Montgomery County Health and Human Services. The program helps individuals maintain apartments throughout the county and helps to increase their income, achieve self-sufficiency, and attain greater housing independence.

Interfaith Works Vocational Services Program
Interfaith Works Vocational Services Program provides comprehensive, individualized support for people who have limited income and who may have experienced homelessness. Such support includes resume preparation, job searches, employment applications, and interview preparation. Through this comprehensive employment support program, VSP Counselors provide vital services and help clients access a pathway to greater stability.
