The Career Gateway!
JCA’s Career Gateway Program can help you hone your resume, polish your networking and interviewing skills, use Internet job search resources more effectively, and turn your age and experience to your advantage. Each session of The Career Gateway features 30 hours of small-group classroom instruction over five days, comprehensive take-home materials, practical exercises, and a long-term mentor – all for only $75! Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) The JCA Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) provides on-the-job training for income-eligible older workers who are age 55 and older and live in Montgomery and Frederick counties, Maryland. Trainees receive a minimum hourly stipend while working at local nonprofits and government agencies to build their skills and resumes while delivering valuable community service. SCSEP is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor grant and in cooperation with The Center for Workforce Inclusion. Income-eligible older workers who are 55+ county residents and are currently unemployed. Senior HelpLine is a free information and referral for seniors, their families and caregivers regarding senior services resources within the Greater Washington, D.C. area including housing, home care, recreation and more.

Connect-A-Ride
Connect-A-Ride is a free service that identifies transportation options for seniors and adults of all ages with disabilities. Certified Information and Mobility Specialists help with schedules, benefits and eligibility requirements.
 
Target Population: Seniors and adults with disabilities who are residents of Montgomery County
State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP)
SHIP provides Montgomery County seniors and adults under 65 with long-term disabilities with health insurance counseling, enrollment guidance, and assistance and problem resolution for issues relating to Medicare benefits and other public and private health insurance sources.
