Montgomery College TRIO Educational Opportunity Center (EOC)
The primary purpose of the Montgomery College TRIO Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is to provide assistance to Montgomery County residents who are low-income/first generation and wish to enter or re-enter college or a vocational program. Education Specialists provide one-on-one help with completing the FAFSA application and financial aid forms, scholarship searches, admissions applications, and career assessment and exploration. Group presentations are available on the same subjects. EOC will guide participants through enrollment in English as a Second Language (ESL) programs, GED preparation programs, and technical/training programs. EOC also provides a free GED practice test and assistance with financial literacy. The Educational Opportunity Center is a TRIO program funded by the US Department of Education. All our services are offered in English and Spanish. Translation services can be requested for other languages including sign language.
Target Population : Montgomery County residents aged 19 and above. US Citizens and non-citizens eligible for federal student financial aid, who have not earned a bachelor's degree.
Intake/Eligibility : Self-referral or email request for sevrices.
