Employment Services
We provide a range of services to adults with IDD who are seeking to find a job, launch a career, or even start their own small business. We start by getting to know the job seeker through a process called Discovery, and leverage this fundamental information to drive the job development supports and services. Once a job is secured, SEEC is able to provide on the job training, supports, services and ongoing job coaching, as needed. SEEC provides these supports through a combination of DDA and DORS funding from the state of Maryland.

SEEC works collaboratively with larger employers in the area to provide real work experiences, that allow a job seeker to explore different work places, work activities and evaluate their skills and abilities in several areas. This workplace experience is augmented by daily classroom activities focused on soft and hard work skills such as time management, writing, communications as well as job development skills like job search, networking, interviewing and resume writing. This internship program last 10 months and is a major commitment as the experience is unpaid, but provides incredible opportunities for hands-on work experience with leading local employers (federal, state, county and private employers).
