Job Search Strategies

In today’s job market, the challenge may be that there are so many places to find job postings and to post your resume. This workshop starts at that simple beginning: Setting employment goals and making your job search into your current “job”. We’ll talk about how to organize your search and provide a few typical job search and why each rung is equally important to your success. And then we’ll discuss “targeted” searches and the strategies of company research and important changes to your cover letter and resume.

***All workshops scheduled for our American Job Centers located in Wheaton and Germantown will go on as planned but will now take place online. You can access them via our web calendar. Participants must register on the Maryland Workforce Exchange (MWE). Once registered, you’ll be emailed an invitation with instructions to attend the workshop at the scheduled time.
