Pathways for Aspiring Business Starters
Entrepreneurs are vital to our economy, and there has been a spike in new companies created over the last year. There are now more resources than ever to help future business owners, of all backgrounds, pursue their plans. WSM has formed partnerships to create two new programs right here in the county that promote innovation and socially-driven solutions through entrepreneurship this spring.
Launch Montgomery, developed in partnership with Opportunity Education, is a no-cost, mentor-led, peer-based experiential learning platform designed to discover, equip and activate the next generation of entrepreneurs in Montgomery County, MD through personalized, hands-on learning and application of critical business skills. This program is specifically for young adults between the ages 18-25. Click here to learn more!
The Food for Profit Workshop, planned in partnership with Montgomery County Government and the University of Maryland, is a 6½ hour overview of how to start and operate a small food product business offered in May. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more information on this workshop coming soon.
