Summer RISE is an initiative led by the Montgomery County Public Schools’ (MCPS) Department of Partnerships in collaboration with businesses, government agencies, higher education institutions, and nonprofit organizations.
This program is for rising Juniors & Seniors
Students participate in a career-based learning opportunity during the summer and will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning opportunities related to their field of interest.
Summer RISE is 5 week program
The program runs for 5 weeks with a minimum of 50 hours of either in-person, virtual or a combination of both.
Employers serve as hosts each year
Employers are needed each year to serve as “hosts” to these student interns and to help spread the word about the program. Each summer hosts from across all career fields help prepare students for life after high school, while at the same time building a talent pipeline.
