Wheaton American Job Center is Open!

The Wheaton American Job Center (AJC) has officially reopened its doors to the public. The Maryland State Department of Labor (DOL) is also located in the Wheaton AJC to help provide customers with state-related employment services like assistance with unemployment benefits. Even with the Wheaton AJC reopening, we will continue to offer a hybrid approach—virtual and in-person—when providing services.

All visitors–customers and staff–are required to wear face masks and socially distance while inside the building.* Sanitizing stations are placed throughout the space, cleaning wipes and barriers are at each computer station, and we have temporarily limited training and resource room capacity.

Wheaton AJC Resource Room

The Wheaton AJC is located at 11510 Georgia Avenue, less than a half-mile from the Wheaton Metro. The reception area is on the 1st floor at the front entrance of the building. Parking is free. New and returning customers can expect enhanced customer service with access to a brand new resource room with computer and printing accessibility, one-on-one career coaching, professional resume reviewing, referral and support services, and employment opportunity leads with area businesses.

Montgomery County residents interested in visiting the Wheaton AJC are welcome to walk in or schedule an appointment for specific services by contacting wheaton@worksourcemontgomery.com or calling 301-929-6880.

WSM also operates the Germantown AJC which is currently undergoing renovations and will reopen this fall. All services through the Germantown location are being offered virtually. For more information, contact germantown@worksourcemontgomery.com.

*This post has been updated to reflect the reimposed mask mandate per Montgomery County.
