CWN Operating Grant
WorkSource Montgomery (WSM) is proud to offer a general operating grant through the CWN Grants Program, designed to support community-based provider organizations committed to directly serving Montgomery County residents. This program emphasizes support for populations facing significant barriers to economic mobility, such as immigrants, unhoused residents, disabled individuals, older adults, young adults, ex-offenders, and small business owners looking to scale their operations.
The grant program is structured to strengthen the workforce ecosystem in Montgomery County by fostering capacity building, sustainability, and enhanced service delivery. By providing financial assistance and technical support, these grants empower providers to better meet the needs of residents while ensuring long-term sustainability.
The CWN Sustainability Grant is designed for provider organizations looking to scale operations and increase their impact in Montgomery County. Priority consideration is given to organizations serving marginalized communities, including immigrants, young adults, and ex-offenders. The grant aims to support capacity building, sustainable growth, and effective service delivery.

Provider Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be registered on Sam.gov.
- Must have general liability insurance.
- Must be registered in the Maryland Workforce Exchange.
- Must be in good standing with the State of Maryland.
- Must provide services directly to Montgomery County residents.
Grant Program Requirements for Providers:
- Quarterly Roundtables: Attend discussions to share insights and best practices.
- Quarterly Performance Reports: Submit reports on service delivery outcomes (e.g., residents served, services provided) and capacity-building outcomes (e.g., organizational growth, expanded reach).
- Direct Service Commitment: Deliver services directly to Montgomery County residents.
- Grant Opportunity: Strengthen organizations, expand reach, and support economic mobility and well-being in Montgomery County.
