On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, WorkSource Montgomery successfully hosted The Career & Resource Fair for Federal Workers & Job Seekers, bringing together 400 jobseekers and 35+ employers. Specifically aimed at assisting recently laid-off federal workers and contractors, as well as unemployed and underemployed jobseekers in Montgomery County, the fair provided job opportunities at all levels and experience. Of the attendees, a total of 115 were impacted federal workers and contractors, demonstrating the critical need for employment support amid ongoing federal budget cuts.
Thank you to the WSM Business Solutions team for organizing another impactful event, ensuring that jobseekers had access to meaningful employment opportunities. Thank you to the Communications team for interviewing impacted federal workers, who, despite their challenges, expressed a sense of hope and encouragement knowing that Montgomery County stands behind them. WSM will share firsthand interviews from jobseekers about their experiences and insights from the event—stay tuned to hear their stories in the coming days.
