Writing Effective Prompts for AI Tools – Afternoon Session (In-Person)

October 15 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Interested in learning how to master AI? Join WorkSource Montgomery’s in-person course to equip yourself with the skills needed to communicate clearly and strategically with generative AI systems. Learn how AI interprets instructions, why outputs vary, and how to reduce ambiguity to produce more accurate and reliable results. Through structured lessons on clarity, specificity, role assignment, constraints, and defining success criteria, you will develop practical techniques for writing prompts that align with real-world scenarios. The course emphasizes that effective prompt writing is not a technical skill, but a communication skill, focused on expressing intent precisely so AI tools can deliver useful, consistent outputs. In addition to core principles, the course introduces best practices, reusable prompt frameworks, and strategies for managing prompts as long-term professional assets. Feel free to bring your own laptop or smart device to follow along!
This in-person workshop will take place in the Empowerment Center on the first floor of the Wheaton American Job Center at 11510 Georgia Ave., Suite 300.
